The remedial coaching programme of Munshi Premchand Mahavidyalaya envisions to support weak learners in different subjects and provides them more focused teaching support to enhance their qualitative and quantitative subject knowledge, academic skills and linguistic proficiency. Since our college has majority of students whose socio-economic status are weak, the remedial coaching offers them a good sustenance and attention. With proper guidance and training provided under the program, students are enabled to come up to the level necessary for pursuing higher studies efficiently and effectively. Each department has taken qualitative steps to identify slow learners so that it can facilitate better handling of students according to their academic needs.
On a weekly basis, the faculties conduct remedial lectures for the students apart from their regular lectures. These special classes are conducted outside the conventional timetable of class hour. In these classes all the doubts and queries of the students are resolved along with the revision of various difficult topics.
Objectives
- To identify slow learners so that it can facilitate better handling of students according to their academic needs
- To make the students assess their academic score and to revise the subject knowledge
- To improve academic skills
- To strengthen the students to pursue higher education
- To provide a strong foundation in their academics
Through the continuous efforts of the faculty, the slow learners are highly benefitted and are able to understand their lessons in a better way and there was marked improvement in the level of score in examinations.
